There are a variety of video–teleconferencing tools available today. There are standards and some equipment interacts with others. Depending on your requirements, VTC can be accomplished on your desktop or in a dedicated room. It can be done from a surgical van in the jungle to a corporate board room or class room in the world. The ability to link health professionals across the world provides a strong foundation for education and sharing of knowledge on how to – how to perform a surgical procedure! – how to respond in a disaster! – how to respond to road trauma sustained in an automobile accident.
